January 19 Semi retired professional genealogist Widowed 6 1962

While attending BYU I met my future husband.  After we married, we lived in the L.A. area for 8 years before finally moving to Utah.  I worked as a British Reference Consultant at the Family History Library for 10 years and have been a professional genealogist for over 40 years.  My husband, after almost 54 years of marriage, died in 2017.  With this new phase of life, I decided to almost completely retire as a genealogist and focus on historical/biographical research. Our extended family includes 24 grandchildren and 9 (soon to be 11) great grandchildren.  Now that I am past the first firsts since Richard's death, I am trying to figure out how to integrate me into my new life.

December 05, 1944 Retired Special Ed Teacher Married 1

March 28, 2018—Last year I had major surgery but I am 100% recovered now—yippie!

I still volunteer as a hike leader with school children in Los Angeles through the Sierra Club, but do it much less nowadays. My wife Dedra and I spend the great majority of our time in
our manufactured home in Goleta (near Santa Barbara) with her 96 year old mother, rather than at our town house in Highland Park.

The book I was writng collasped under its own weight—no big deal, maybe
after I die it will be discovered and became famous!

I still keep in regular contact with classmates Steve Lew, Fred Salinas, Mike Lepore, Bill Tennis, Mitch Mulino and, occasionally, Dave Lindsey.

My wife and I are members of several wineries in
San Ynez , so when in Goleta, we do a lot of wine tasting. If anyone wants to join us, we can take guests for free—just get in touch and let's make a day of it.

We watch a lot of TV, but lately we have switched from
streaming Netflix to streaming FilmStruck for the classic movies. We still hike or walk everyday, although mostly just walk nowadays.

Life remains good.

December 10, 1943 retired Single Again 3 1962

It is now 2018 and I will soon be 75 years old. Now that I am fat and ugly, at least I don't have to look at someone else that's fat and ugly. I am still living alone and fighting with all the things old people go through. Counting and trading prescrition pills with friends and neighbors. Colonoscopy tests in the furture where Dr. Holecheck wants to look up my name and address. CT scans and radiation left a scar on my lung. I guess everything hurts.

I am very happy everyday and enjoying life with my best friend, my dog. Tub is his name. He takes me for walks everyday and is great comany. I thik I'll go out and run a 100 yard dash and see if I can do it in under 15 minutes.

I'll try to keep you all informed of the latest Dr. tests and results. It's great to get old, isn't it?

February 26, 1944 Retired Educator Divorced 1962
WOW -  50 years sure went by fast!   After graduating from UCLA, I taught elementary school in Los Angeles before becoming a consultant in Special Education for the district.  My last assignment was as an elementary school principal.   In June 2006, after 30 + years in education, I joyfully retired.    Since then, I have been having an exciting time traveling the world, visiting friends, volunteering, and enjoying life in general!    It was great seeing everyone at the 50th Reunion activities, and hearing about what people are up to now.   I found it quite interesting touring Franklin and seeing how the campus has changed.  I'm still serving on the Reunion Committee, and we are planning on a reunion picnic on October 4, 2014 to celebrate our 52nd year out.  Hope you will join us!    Sue Send Suzanne a MessageSend Suzanne a Message
